Hi, my name is Abdel Hadi Darabeh (Abood) and I'm a 19 year old high school graduate from Gaza City .

My story began when I started my final year at school in 2023 , I was full of energy and ambition , keeping towards my eyes a dream to achieve a high record in order to join the faculty of engineering and to make my parents happy and proud, my steps were steady and promising as my family gave me all the support and care I needed , but sadly my life changed dramatically forever when my brother's Yousef lost his life to the Turkish earthquake in February 2023 .

After this traumatic experience our life went upside down , I had so much memories to re-experience which made studying so difficult to me , my whole family were traumatized especially my father who lived deep sorrow and grief over my brother .

I've noticed my father's sadness and took the responsibility to bring his spirit up a little by my success in the school .

After that I've fulfilled my promise hitting a very high record in my exams 97.6% ; making my dad and all the family proud .

But unfortunately my father passed away just a few days after my high school graduation ceremony , this thing has left my heart broken, he will not be there to support me and to be around him with his kind heart , generousity and wisdom.

The very next month of my dad's passing away, the war of Gaza has begun leaving me homeless from the third day of the war , my family's house was destroyed and my dream of becoming an engineer vanished too .

Today after 8 months of war I haven't started my colloge yet , but I've managed to get out of Gaza to Egypt , I know I've lost a whole academic year but my future still threatened by the fact that I cant afford university tuition and fees , so I might lose my dream , my future and more years of my life .

I'm appealing to you to grant me a scholarship or to help me pay the expenses of studying engineering here in Cairo.
