Abby’s car was stolen. She needs help.

Abby is a hard working full time secretary at the Lansing Institute of Behavioral Medicine where she helps make treatment possible for those suffering with mental illness. Abby’s job isn’t an easy one filled with menial tasks. Her job is fast paced and demanding. Sometimes when people are feeling particularly ill, they don’t treat her very well. Regardless of the demand and intensity of the environment, she is always kind and gracious in return.  She comes to work everyday with a great attitude.  

Abby is recently married to Trevor who is early on in his career in culinary arts.  He works at a local restaurant.  They are young and doing all they can to establish security and success in the world.  Just starting out is tough as we all remember, particularly while working an entry level job.  Trevor’s parents generously gifted Abby and Trevor with a 2006 Jetta for their wedding.  This was a big help to them that they really needed.  

Abby woke up and got ready for work on the morning of December 4th, 2018 only to find her car had been stolen from her apartment parking lot.  PLPD insurance she carries will not cover the loss.  Her apartment complex is not accepting any fault.  There are no leads as far as finding the car.   There are no leads as to the criminal who took it.

Abby and Trevor will not readily recover from this devastating life event without our help.  Please give whatever you can.  Any little bit helps.  Prayer is also appreciated. I hope we can rally around and raise enough money to get Abby back on the road in a car similar to or better than what she had before. I also hope we can restore her faith in humankind and the goodness that exists in this world.  She is understandably feeling very violated and discouraged with what was has happened to her at no fault of her own.
