AAPI Senior Citizen Self-Defense Initiative
According to a recent report by Stop AAPI Hate , anti-Asian violence is on the rise:
- 3,800 assaults in this last year (up from 2,600 the year prior).
- 68% of assaults were against women.
- Over 1,200 incidents took place in California (more than 700 in the Bay Area alone).
Experts agree these numbers are likely understated.
Krav Maga was founded in the spirit of training members of a victimized group to defend themselves. We want to arm our AAPI community with the same skills, so we're raising funds to purchase pepper spray, personal alarms, and whistles to distribute to senior citizens and the AAPI community free-of-charge and providing a free virtual seminar on how to use them effectively against an attacker.
Our goal is to purchase and assemble 300 self-protection aid kits containing:
- Pepper Spray
- Personal Alarms and
- Whistles
We need your help to raise $6k to achieve our goal.
