Devastating family house fire

It’s absolutely breaking me that I’m writing this GoFundMe page right now.

Today, on the 24th of May, my Dad and Step Mums’ house caught fire in the front bedroom from an electric blanket. Trish was home at the time, laying on her bed right before the flames came up from underneath her. She is so lucky to be alive today but unfortunately, their beloved cat, Abby had perished in the fire. She was their heart and soul.

They’ve lost everything inside the house, nothing could be saved. The smoke damage is all unsalvageable.

They are absolutely distraught. We all are.

Something you thought would never happen to you, has happened to them. A nightmare for us all.

My Dad who had also lost his caravan in the 2020 Mallacoota bushfires which had so many sentimental belongings from his parents inside was a nightmare in itself and to relive that trauma again is just so, so unfair.

The devastation that has ripped through them is absolutely heartbreaking. Seeing your parents so numb and broken is something you never want to witness.

Danni and I are hoping we can alleviate some pain and pressure financially in this really unfair time for them both. My Dad runs his own business and has lost everything from his computer equipment, important documents and everything else it takes to run a business from home inside the study.

Every cent raised will go directly to my Dad and Trish having to now lump the cost of vet bills for our dear Abby and the everyday comforts that we take for granted everyday.

Please please please share this far and wide to help my family out. If you could spare anything from $5 from your daily coffee to help out that would mean the absolute world us to take some of that pressure off my Dad and Trish.
