Dear Friends and Family,
Andrew has just completed his first year at the University of Dallas. He had a great year academically--making Honor Roll the first semester and Dean's List the second semester. He has been accepted to the University's Fall 2014 semester in Rome. University of Dallas has their very own campus located approximately 30 minutes outside of Rome, near the Pope's summer residence, Castel Gondolfo. He will be living on campus and taking a full load of 15 credit hours.
The costs of the semester are very comparable to a semester in Dallas, with the exception of airfare. The airfare cannot be covered by any type of financial aid. Andrew has a Provost's Scholarship from UD and Greehey Family Foundation Scholarship which cover about half of his tuition and fees. Financial aid (i.e., student loans) and mom & dad cover the rest. He has been working summers and breaks from school at the National Shooting Complex, saving money for his spending money and travel while he's there. It would be a great help if we could offset the cost of his airfare since those costs cannot be covered by scholarship or financial aid.
He would be happy to take any of your prayer intentions with him and offer them up during the many opportunities to pray at the Vatican, Assisi or several other places.
