Duane Ferrario: Healing from stroke

Duane is a Jesus loving, dedicated husband and dad, joke cracking , hard working and loving man. He has always worked extra hard to provide a future for himself and his wife Mary.
Duane is my Father in-law who Ive known 3 months shy of a year but because of who he is and how he loves, I feel like Ive known him my entire life. One of the many things I have noticed about Duane is his compassion, gentle spirit and the ways he shows his love to so many.
If a stranger were to ask him for help, he wouldnt even bat an eye, he would do whatever he could to help.
This family has experienced some scary days in the last month with health stuff. This Tuesday as duane was on the road driving through Illinois, he stopped at a truck stop. While he was on the phone with a business partner when he noticed the right side of his body starting to become numb but would come and go. He noticed he got really tired so he ended the call just to pick it up again and call his son Darrin and ask for prayer for what he was experiencing.
Darrin of course prayed with him but insisted he call for help. Thankfully responders were there within minutes. At the hospital they discovered Duane had been having a stoke, they didnt have the equipment they needed so they flew him to a hospital an hour away. All praise to Jesus as there is no damage to His brain or speech. Although, though, there was some damage to Duane's right side of his body such as his arm and leg. As of today with Gods incredible healing, today he can sort of lift his arm and now wiggle his fingers but it takes much strength and is tough. He can now also lift his leg but not able to move his toes or ankle yet. Each day there is progress as we are all so thankful for that.
Unfortunately this means Duane isnt able to work for some time. This could be 6 months or longer but we have faith in Jesus who makes all impossible, possible. He isnt able to drive or walk yet. As many of you know, Duane owns his own Trucking company and is a driver himself as well as all the office and business details which is his wife Mary and his main income. Mary will be taking time off of work also to help Duane as he isnt fully able to do the things he typically could.
The reason we opened this account is to help relieve some of the financial burden this unfortunate incident has created. If you feel it on your heart to give a hand up, we know that Mary and Duane will forever be grateful.
We also created this to update all of Duane's family and friends as well as asking for prayers which we know has been a major factor in his progress as of today.
