A Strong Heart: Alyssa's fight against cancer

In December, just a few days after Christmas, our dear friend Alyssa was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma. After experiencing an ongoing cough for a couple months, it eventually turned into an uncomfortable pain in her chest; to a point where sleeping and breathing was painful. We’re thankful to know now that this cancer is highly treatable, but it will require an aggressive chemotherapy treatment for approximately the next 5 months. Alyssa has already finished her first cycle (like a champ!) but we know it’s only the beginning. 


Alyssa is a strong, beautiful, and an overall amazing person to be around. Alyssa’s passion for others drives her to be heavily involved within her school where she teaches middle school science and her church where she volunteers as a Sunday School teacher. It’s rare to find a special person like Alyssa, who has a natural ability to bring her loved ones together and create a sense of community.  


With that said, we created this page to show our support for Alyssa!  We know the costs of medical expenses can be stressful, so any support to be able to ease this stress is greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go towards Alyssa’s inpatient treatment costs and other medical related expenses. Thank you for your support, prayers, and generosity.
