Damian’s Ewing sarcoma cancer journey

Donation protected
I am making this go fund me for my sister.

This is Damian he is 5.
He has recently been diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma which is a rare type of bone cancer. Before being diagnosed Damian was a happy “healthy” 5 year old. But he suffered with on going leg pain. the doctors used to say he had growing pains in may he was taken to hospital in London where they said he had a fractured tibia and for afew weeks he was out in to a cast then a second cast that he could walk on. On the day of his cast being removed the consultant said he had knock knee
Mum and her partner kept taking Damian back to hospital because he was still in pain and was walking with his bad leg facing inwards because the cast moulded his inwards
The doctors said that Damians leg was ok and that he was thinking he was in pain when he isn’t as there’s nothing there to be in pain from. Mum knew there was something seriously wrong. She then took him to a different hospital and on the first visit they done X-rays mri scans and ct scans. They kept Damian in over night. That next morning was the dreaded news mum was not expecting the consultant took her and her partner into another room and told them Damian may have cancer They referred us to addenbrooks hospital specialists and Stanmore hospital bone specialists. Where they then went for more scans and tests they took Damian home and waited for a phone call to tell them if he had cancer. They got the call afew days later which confirmed Damian has Ewing’s sarcoma bone cancer. And he needed more tests to see if it has spread as they could see shadows in his pelvis that shouldn’t be there. More tests and more tests it later confirmed it has spread to his pelvis Fast forward to now. Damian is having chemotherapy and is due to have a leg amputation in March The family are broken and so are me and her family and friends I would love to help as much as I can that is why I have made this go fund me. It is helping the family with travel costs to and from hospitals hospital stays and also just to make life that little bit easier for them. This has been and continues to be such a long journey for damian and his family
thankyou for taking your time to read.

UPDATE: Damian has recently had his leg amputated on the 24th of march 2023. He is due to have more chemo and radiation. Damian cannot wait to get back on the ponds fishing and he also really wants to go to butlins again where he had a holiday last may after his wrong diagnosis of a fractured tibia and before his right diagnosis of Ewing’s sarcoma cancer which was found in September of 2022
