A Santa Letter

Hello my name is Valene and I work for the Post Office, I am a RCA. This year I volunteered to respond to the Santa letters that came into the office. As I was finishing up the letters tonight I came across this one from a 13 year old boy. His letter broke my heart. Instead of asking for an iPhone, earpods, a new laptop he asked for help with him and his mother's home. The roof is in bad condition, they struggle to keep the rent paid and the power on. I really feel for this mom because I too was once where she is. Struggling,living pay check to pay check, no money left over for anything extra. The fact that this 13 year old wants to go out and get a job just to help his mom with bills speaks volumes on who this young man is and who he will grow up to be. Please take a minute to donate what you can or just share it. Let's help this boy help his mom. Let's show them the love of their community. That we can all come together and help a family in need. I know Christmas is just around the corner so I'd like to see what we can do for them through the rest of this year and then on January 1 give what we have to them.
