A Roof Over Ms. Fannie's Head

The people on her street know her as Mama Fannie. She rolls up and down the road in her motorized wheelchair multiple times a day; only venturing as far as that chair will take her. She doesn't own a car and with her disabilities wouldn't be able to drive one if she did. She's a grandmother to almost every child on the street and not because they're related by blood.
Fannie took in her granddaughter from birth and has raised her to be a responsible high school student with a part time job at the local supermarket and part of the track team at school. We often find Fannie on the couch with her newest grandson snuggled into her shoulder; watching him so that his parents can work to make ends meet. She never says "no" to a friend or family in need, never asks for help, and never ever complains. If you ask her how she's doing, her response is "I'm Blessed." She's a picture of strength and grace in this world.
In September Ms. Fannie was forced to ride out Hurricane Irma in her boarded up home near a major flood zone. God protected her and her family but sadly her 25 year old roof was heavily damaged by the storm. We've been able to help her with a lot of the clean up and minor repairs but we need your help to raise the remainder of the cost to replace her roof.
Incredibly our friends at a local Roofing company have agreed to replace her roof at cost. We've helped Ms. Fannie through the process of submitting a claim to her insurance company and received enough to cover most of the cost but we're still just a little short of the overall amount.
Please consider helping us raise a portion of the cost to replace Ms. Fannie's roof before the heavy rains begin again. We would like to get her new roof funded and completed before the end of February 2018. Help us prove her words and show her that her community cares about her and she is truly "blessed."
