A Quiet Night In:Psychological Thriller Short Film

Synopsis

A Quiet Night In is a psychological thriller that follows Katie Carmichael, a woman grappling with the disorienting effects of isolation and mysterious occurrences in an Eerie Grand Hall. As she navigates through surreal experiences, strange noises, and a haunting mask, Katie's grip on reality unravels as she tries to write her Novel. When Katie, driven by the relentless noises, descends into the cellar. There, she discovers something covered in a tarp. Faced with an inexplicable situation, Katie reacts impulsively, resulting in a shocking and gruesome act.

Haunted by her actions, Katie retreats into a dissociative state as she attempts to drown out the disturbing sounds with wine and isolation, the strain of her relationships, marked by missed calls and desperate messages from friends. The boundaries between reality and delusion blur, leaving viewers questioning the nature of the noises and the thing in the cellar.

We are a Sheffield-based group of Student filmmakers, and 'A Quiet Night In' is our graduation film.
