"A Piece of Night" - A Diné Short Horror Film by Robert Mesa
Donation protected
My name is Robert Mesa. I'm an award-winning filmmaker, actor, and multidisciplinary artist.
I'm raising funds to create a powerful short horror film that brings to life a story rooted in Indigenous experience, specifically a Diné (Navajo) horror narrative that has never been told on screen in this way before.
As a Diné/Soboba/Chumash writer and filmmaker, this project is deeply personal. It’s an opportunity to honor my community and culture with authenticity, care, and respect. This isn’t just another horror film, it’s a story grounded in grief, tradition, and the supernatural, told from a perspective rarely seen in film.
I’m creating this with an amazing group of Indigenous and local artists from Santa Fe, a talented and passionate community committed to telling stories that matter.
Your support will help us bring this story to life with the quality and integrity it deserves. As a supporter, you will also be credited with a Producer credit.
