A Patch of Blues - The Road to Memphis

A Patch of Blues is on its way to Memphis!!

A Patch of Blues has been selected to represent the Windy City Blues Society in the youth category at the 2023 International Blues Challenge in Memphis!! This is a great opportunity for us to perform at the world’s largest gathering of blues musicians and blues afficionados and show pride in our Chicago Blues heritage playing along with other youth & adult bands from around the world. The IBC will be held from January 24-28, 2023 on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee.

A Brief History

A Patch of Blues is a unique blues and soul band with Fati Jones (vocals), Rebecca Egwuenu (lead guitar), Claudia Easterwood (bass), and Stacy Norris (drums). The members met through the years and developed a friendship at the Fernando Jones Blues Camp in Chicago, where they developed a love for the Blues, their city’s heritage, and playing music together. Each member is an accomplished musician and vocalist in her own right and decided to come together to bring a unique sound and urban funky flair to their audiences.
