A New Vehicle for Twila
Twila Cassadore is a forager and community leader on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona. She has been pivotal in the lives of many youth and young adults seeking to deepen their connection to Apache food ways.
Twila also starred in the documentary GATHER, which was produced by Jason Momoa.
Twila's work regularly requires a 4x4 to take people into the desert to forage, hunt and learn about food traditions.
Alas, her trusty truck is on its last legs. It won't last til 2021.
As a film team, we want to give Twila an amazing Christmas present and purchase her a used Jeep or equivalent 4x4 to continue her critical food work.
We will send 100% of the funds raised (less GoFundMe fees) directly to Twila.
People like Twila are absolutely critical to the revival of Native Food Sovereignty. Whatever you can give will be so meaningful. If we can raise enough to buy her a NEW vehicle, we will.
