A New Home for Caney Valley Wrestlers

Since its inception in 1977, the Caney Wrestling Club's purpose is to provide and promote wrestling activities for boys and girls, preschool through high school, for children primarily residing in or attending schools within Caney and surrounding communities.

Promote excellence in wrestling and positively influence the lives of kids in the Caney community, by developing a commitment to wrestling through a fun and affordable team-oriented experience at practices and competitions, emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, skill building, physical conditioning, goal setting, a competitive spirit, hard work and a winning attitude. Our goal is to help guide our athletes to become the best and prepare them to face all of life's challenges.

With that being said Caney Valley Wrestling has never had a home, although we have been grateful for the churches over the years that have allowed us to use their gyms, we have always needed a facilities to call our own.

The building that we have had the opportunity to purchase will give our kids a year-round training facility for Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco with two mats and an area for workout equipment. Giving us the room that we need to practice with 70+ kids, and ensure the legacy of Caney Valley wrestling will continue for years to come.

All of the funds will go towards paying off the new building and purchasing equipment that we need to set it up for our wrestlers. Your donation will allow our club to continue to operate as debt-free as possible, so that we can continue to make this great sport affordable for all the kids in our area.
