A Memorial for Melanie Cadden
Spende geschützt
I did not intend to make this a public fundraiser, but at the behest of my family I have chosen to open this up to anyone willing to contribute. I am purchasing a memorial reading bench and landscaping for my mother that will be placed in Elbow Tree Park. I have already secured permission for the bench from the town council.
I have chosen a manufacturer and will also be responsible for pouring a cement pad and securing landscaping.
As you can imagine this has been a difficult time for myself and my family. For me, my mom's greatest joys in life were reading and nature. As you know she was born in Lawrence Park and spent her life in this community. I can think of no greater way to honor her memory than giving folks the opportunity to read their favorite book under a shady tree.
I intended to purchase this memorial myself and I want to assure any potential donor that this memorial will be secured even if we fail to reach the lofty goal I have set.
My family and friends have assured me that there are people who will wish to contribute toward a more permanent memorial for my mom that any passing stranger can enjoy. If you are reading this I suspect you are one of those people and I greatly appreciate your consideration.
My mom was a friend to everyone, a lover of nature and a lover of books. A reading bench is the best memorial I can think of and I want to thank you for any contribution you're willing to make.
If there are funds beyond the cost of the memorial itself they will be donated to the Iroquois Foundation or Presque Isle Partnership per my mother's wishes.
Again thank you for your consideration, any donation is greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
