Hello! I am Tasha, owner of Mountain Paws Dog Walking & Boarding Inc here in the West Kootenays

Ally Couchman, a sweet young mom of 2 girls followed her love of dogs and began working with our team 3 months ago. She is not only an appreciated super star employee but a shining light in or community! (She is also known for her incredible smile as an employee at ‘Kootenay Cannabis’.)

Ally used her savings and got a bank loan to buy a used 2015 Chevy Silverado truck to not only come work with our team but to upgrade her old car to a much safer truck to transport her precious girls.

After a bear attacked and ripped apart her truck on June 12th in North Castlegar, ICBC has declared it a write off and will only give her 10k for the truck she paid 22k for 2.5 months ago.

Ally also just last week invested $1000 into the truck! And she also has a $2500 deductible.

So, after after the funds are received from ICBC, Ally will still be upside down in the loan from the bank, with monthly payments on a truck she no longer has, and cannot afford to purchase another vehicle. Without a vehicle, she cannot earn a living.

A huge THANK YOU to all that have donated! we still have a ways to go to get Ally to where she needs to be.

An ICBC adjuster wont be able to even look at the truck for another 1.5 months leaving Ally in a poopy situation. She is also gathering comparables and information to fight ICBC on their initial suggestion that the truck will be written off and the truck she just paid 22k for is only worth 10k.

Now she just has to wait. Wait without a vehicle and unable to work.
