A little help for Anna Marie Chalmers

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kate and I am fundraising for a friend and close colleague Anna Marie Chalmers. Anna Marie is an amazing person, she is kind, considerate, generous, beautiful, brave and has a great sense of humour, she has faced more challenges in life than anyone I know. When Anna Marie was in her 20's she battled cancer, the treatment that enabled her to beat cancer however aged her body and at 49 years old Anna Marie had to endure a triple heart bypass, with courage and determination she fully recovered from the operation and was determined to enjoy every opportunity that life offered her with inspiration, strength and a sense of adventure.
Anna Marie loves her home and has put so much time and effort to refurbish it and make it a home to be proud, of but in January this year during a trip to B&Q she sensed something was wrong she called an ambulance that transferred her to the hospital. See below in her own words what happened next.

Good Morning All.

A week ago today I sadly took unwell on a shopping trip to Elgin. I did eventually get pullovered and called for paramedic support.
After my triple heart bypass in 2021 I did automatically assume it was a heart attack with the symptoms.
Blue lighted to Elgin and assessed, my outcome was far worse.
I had experienced a blood clot that had deeply wrapped itself around my spinal cord causing me to now to be paralysed from the chest down permanently.
I am not sharing this to get pity or sympathy. I'm sharing this as I think the treatment I have received from NHS has been phenomenal.
They're amazing people and their efforts are endless

I am now awaiting to get a place/transfer to The Queen Elizabeth Spinal Unit in Glasgow to begin my rehabilitation.
I may have a few obstacles in my way but it won't stop me from getting on with my life and enjoying/doing what I am capable of doing and being on a whole new different path.

I want mostly from the bottom of my heart to thank my darling family, dearest friends and my cherished worked colleagues who have all been there for me. Means the world to me and you all know you are :-) love you all so much.XX

And to finish this off, can I just say please don't hold off special plans, cherished moments and happy happy times. Just go do it. Enjoy life as it can change in the blink of an eye.

Thank you. Much Love and Hugs xxxx Sent from my iPhone

This shows the massive strength of character that Anna Marie is, she is larger than life and has taken her circumstances on with amazing acceptance.

Anna Marie will need to have adaptations to her home and a wheelchair ideally an electric one to assist with her mobility.

So PLEASE if you can offer any donation large or small to help Anna Marie on her journey to learn how to live independently and get the best of out life despite her disability. Any money raised will go towards these adaptations and equipment to make Anna Marie's life as easy as possible.
Thanks in advance
