Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a problem with the functioning of

the nervous system and how the brain and body send and receive signals. Physical and psychological risk factors can cause functional symptoms, including various physical, sensory and cognitive symptoms that have yet to be explained by a recognised disease.

WHO AM I?

 

My name is Saurabh Sharma, but everyone knows me as SAM. I am a founder of Chakra Lounges. Though businesses keep me busy, I try to ensure that every action of mine positively impacts another person’s life, especially those around me.

 

After having a first-hand experience with a family member affected by FND and its indescribable symptoms, I felt helpless and angry because of my incompetence in protecting my family member and keeping them safe. Hence, I’m hoping to raise money that could eventually be used in finding a cure to the medical condition and avoid anyone else suffering as she did.” “FND is still a misunderstood brain condition.

 

By overcoming my fear of heights, I hope to inspire people to take a step forward and offer help because I wholeheartedly believe that even the most minor actions can have the most impactful results.

 

The funds raised from this event shall be redirected towards FND Hope UK.
