Kitchen Fire Destroyed Our Family Home

Life has a way of putting you in a places you never imagined you could be, leaving you powerless and disheartened.  

Almost two weeks ago, everything my family had went up in smoke and was reduced to ashes. My mother is a caterer, and she was preparing food when a fire broke out in the kitchen due to a faulty deep fryer. The fire rapidly spread, engulfing the kitchen and everything in it before spreading to connecting parts of our home. And to make matters even worse, my family home was further violated when it was broken into the same night, and ransacked, stealing the TV, Laptops, my mother's bank cards (which they used) and even alcohol that was in the burnt down house.  

Fortunately, my mother and sister, who were at home at the time, were able to escape the house without being harmed and no one else was harmed, which I am super grateful for, but we were powerless in preventing our home from being destroyed and we are now effectively homeless until we can make the house habitable again. My family is currently staying with relatives in the living room with very little support from the local council as it stands.  

Our aim is to fix the fire damage and make the home habitable again as it is currently without electricity, gas and water as a result of the fire. This is what we will do with your donations:
