Luis Jadiel Sullivan Rodríguez nació el 22 de febrero de 2026, y desde sus primeros días de vida ha enfrentado una batalla muy difícil.

Al nacer, los doctores descubrieron que padece coartación de la aorta, una condición congénita en la que una parte de la arteria principal del corazón es más estrecha de lo normal, lo que dificulta el flujo de sangre hacia su cuerpito. A tan solo 7 días de nacido, tuvo que someterse a una cirugía mayor para poder sobrevivir.

Lamentablemente, su lucha no terminó ahí.

Después de la operación, Luis Jadiel contrajo una infección por estafilococo en el hospital, una bacteria que comenzó a afectar sus órganos y complicó aún más su estado de salud. Desde entonces, permanece hospitalizado, enfrentando múltiples intervenciones médicas y luchando día a día por su recuperación.

A su lado, en todo momento, están su mami Ashley y su papi Luis Jonathan. No se han separado de él ni un solo instante, cuidándolo y velando por su bienestar sin descanso. Mientras su hijo lucha por su vida, ambos hacen todo lo posible por mantenerse fuertes por él.

En medio de esta difícil situación, la familia también ha enfrentado una dura realidad: la pérdida de su hogar. Aunque ambos hacen todo lo posible por sostenerse, los ingresos no han sido suficientes ante la magnitud de lo que están viviendo. Debido a que Ashley ha tenido que dedicarse por completo al cuidado de su bebé, no le ha sido posible trabajar ni contar con los recursos necesarios para cubrir la renta, lo que lamentablemente resultó en un desalojo. Además, se vio obligada a perder citas importantes para recibir asistencia, ya que no podía separarse del hospital ni de su hijo.

Actualmente, el hospital ha intentado brindar apoyo para ayudarles a encontrar una vivienda estable, pero es un proceso que toma tiempo y no ofrece soluciones inmediatas. Mientras tanto, la familia continúa, con incertidumbre cada día, haciendo todo lo posible por mantenerse firme en medio de tantas dificultades. Entre largas horas en el hospital, preocupaciones constantes y al perder un lugar seguro al cual regresar, la carga emocional y económica ha sido muy pesada.

Hoy, recurrimos a la bondad de la comunidad para pedir apoyo para Luis Jadiel y su familia. Más que nunca, necesitan ayuda urgente para cubrir gastos médicos, vivienda y necesidades básicas mientras atraviesan este proceso tan difícil.

Luis Jadiel Sullivan Rodríguez was born on February 22, 2026, and from his very first days of life, he has faced an incredibly difficult battle.

At birth, doctors discovered that he has coarctation of the aorta, a congenital condition in which part of the main artery of the heart is narrower than normal, making it difficult for blood to flow properly to his little body. At just 7 days old, he had to undergo major surgery in order to survive.

Unfortunately, his fight did not end there.

After the operation, Luis Jadiel contracted a staph infection in the hospital, a bacteria that began affecting his organs and further complicated his condition. Since then, he has remained hospitalized, undergoing multiple medical procedures and fighting every day for his recovery.

By his side at all times are his mother, Ashley, and his father, Luis Jonathan. They have not left his side for a single moment, caring for him and watching over his well-being without rest. While their son fights for his life, they are doing everything they can to stay strong for him.

In the midst of this difficult situation, the family has also faced another harsh reality: the loss of their home. Although both parents are doing everything possible to get by, their income has not been enough to withstand the weight of what they are going through. Because Ashley has had to dedicate herself completely to caring for her baby, she has not been able to work or access the resources needed to keep up with rent, which unfortunately resulted in an eviction. She was also forced to miss important appointments for assistance, as she could not leave the hospital or her son’s side.

At this time, the hospital has tried to provide support to help them find stable housing, but it is a process that takes time and does not offer immediate solutions. Meanwhile, the family continues to face each day with uncertainty, doing everything they can to hold on through these overwhelming circumstances. Between long hours in the hospital, constant worry, and the loss of a safe place to return to, the emotional and financial burden has become extremely heavy.
