At 3 am on Nov. 12, during the rain storm, a main sewer line in Mount Pearl broke and water gushed into nearby houses. It totally destroyed an apartment occupied by a woman and her 2 teenaged sons.

As you can see by the videos, water began rushing into their apartment like a raging river. They woke up at 3 am to find their apartment filling with water. They were trapped because the well to their door filled up rapidly with sewer water. They had to crawl out a bedroom window, and escaped with only the clothes they were wearing.

They are having trouble finding accommodations.

So far, They’ve been able to find only 1 temporary rental and the landlord is asking for $7000 per month, so they are still looking.

They have lost everything.

So to help them out, I am organizing a Gofundme to give them a hand up. They always do what they can to help others, and now they need a little help.
