A brighter future for Haile

Esther Addo Scott, a dear friend of mine, migrated to the United States from Ghana in search of a better and secure future for herself and her son who she lovingly called "Sugar". She was a great mother, sister and friend who always put other's needs before hers. There was not a single day she would turn down a call for help. She was always willing and ready to be of service to all, making her a great caretaker at her job. A year into her stay in the US, her son joined her from Ghana. Finally, her "Sugar" was here with her. She was fulfilled and even more determined to provide a stable  and comfortable life for her son.  Although she sometimes struggled with her health, she fought every single day to attain the goals she set. Life as we know, can be so unpredictable and unfair, Naa Deede, as I,affectionately called her suddenly passed on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020,leaving her son behind. Not even a year since they reunited. I was in disbelief when I received that phone call. I rushed to the hospital and there she was ....lying peacefully on the bed. Indeed Esther had passed and left the most important person in her life behind. Her Sugar! What happens to Sugar now? How is he going to cope? Staring at him holding what was left of his mother's belongings in a plastic bag infront of the hospital was heartbreaking. What is the next step for him? Where is he going to stay? What is he going to do? There is only so much I can do, so today I call on you my friends,family, co-workers, friends of the family, sympathizers and the public at large to help Haile Scott in these trying times.  I need help in raising money for his upkeep, rent,school and to get him started with life. Please lets help Haile achieve those dreams and aspirations.  Thank You for your generous help!
