Every day in Bentota, countless stray dogs and cats struggle to survive. They face starvation, untreated injuries, chronic skin diseases, and the constant threat of rabies. Many give birth on the streets — and if their puppies live, they face the same horrific challenges. These animals are living in pain, fear, and uncertainty.

We are MAFS (Making Animals Feel Safe) — a team on the ground committed to changing this reality.

Together with a trusted local veterinarian, we are working tirelessly to protect and care for the stray animals in our community.

What We Do

To control the breeding cycle and reduce the number of animals born into suffering.

Vaccinate Against Rabies and Other Diseases

Protecting animals and people from preventable illnesses.

Rehome Friendly, Healthy Animals

Helping deserving pups and cats find loving, permanent families.
