Zambia Medical Mission Trip

As you may know, I have recently graduated from nursing school and I am a licensed Registered Nurse. Throughout my life I have loved caring for other people. It was 5 years ago when my grandmother was receiving home care from nurses that I realized that my passion in life was caring for others and decided to take the leap of faith and go back to school to become a nurse. After many years of hard work I finished nursing school. And now, as I am looking for a job as a nurse, I have offered an opportunity to give back and help others by using my skills as a Registered Nurse
I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Zambia, Africa as a Registered Nurse and to serve in a women's and children clinic in the village of Chankosa. We will not only be providing medical support but also some construction in the town. Our team will be involved in sinking a borehole for a well for clean water, preparing the footing and foundation for a classroom and 5 teachers' homes, hosting a mobile clinic outreach as well as sharing the love of Jesus.
This trip is a huge leap of faith! I will be leaving the US on June 2, 2014 and returning June 18, 2014. The total cost that I am raising for the trip is $4200. The $4200 that I am raising covers all the expenses for travel, transport and lodging, as well charitable giving when we're on the ground. All donations are greatly appreciated. We will need support, both financially and prayerfully to make it a success.
