Hello All!!
This coming school year I will be stepping into my Senior Year in Undergrad as an Art major and Psychology minor. However, I have run into a few obstacles that may hinder me from being able to complete my studies at Southern Adventist University. Many of us know that Christian schooling is not cheap at all, however; I'd like to break things down for you all. In order for me to just return this coming Fall 2017 semester, I need at LEAST $10, 408. Financial Aid will only cover so much, and yes, I am applying for scholarships-but it doesn't stop there because in the Spring, to Financially Clear, I need at LEAST $9, 142. I'm am not fearful about whether or not I will get back into school-because I know that God will do whatever He needs to do to get His Child back into school so that one day I can contribute to society. My greatest concern is genuinely towards my health right now, why? Almost a month ago now, I found out that I have Lupus-the same thing that my mother and late sister, Whitney Powell, at age 20, passed away from. It stops with me though because I am taking my health into my own hands! I have contacted Wildwood Lifestyle Center and they provide services for Lupus patients! The deposit is $300, they require that on the day of registration. I am hoping to be registered by July 10th or sooner. Also, the remaining cost for the actual program is $3, 280. The goal is to raise as much as I can from now during the entire month of July so I can be there the first few weeks of August before school begins on August 21st I believe. So whatever God impresses or does not impress on your heart-I am still grateful for your support, whether it be donations, encouragement, love-whatever it is, I appreciate it! By the grace of God, He carried me through the hardest part of my life with my sister-but bow it's my turn and I plan to take it head on! In the meantime, be blessed and just know that I love you all so much!!!
