Vicki McCuistion School Board Campaign

I am so grateful for the support and encouragement I have received over the last few weeks for my campaign for the Wimberley ISD School Board Campaign, Place 3. Some of that encouragement has included an option for online giving.

A little about me and why I am running...

My husband, Dan, and I have lived in the district since our daughter, Holly was two. Our daughters, Holly, Hether, and Hanna, have benefitted greatly from attending school in a small district. They have been given opportunities they might not have had in other districts: varsity sports, class government, and UIL academic competition. But in no way has this small district limited their goals and expectations for themselves.

But in no way has this small district limited their goals and expectations for themselves.

It may be a Small District, but Wimberley kids have Big Dreams!

I love seeing our Wimberley students get amazing scholarships, travel around the world on mission trips, and even be one of two delegates selected to represent Texas at Girls Nation in Washington, D.C. Our Wimberley students are continuously successful in UIL Band, Theater, and Academic Competitions. And we know our Texan Athletes (Boys and Girls) leave it all on the field, in the pool, and on the court!

I have worked for non-profits since I was in college and understand the ramifications of operating under a limited budget as well as the challenge of making the most of what you have to work with. I also understand strategic planning for the future and charting the course for realizing goals and dreams. And through my work with the Barnabas Connection and directing the annual Back to School Fiesta, I have a fair sense of what families in the district are facing and the many ways our schools work to respond to those needs as best as they can.

In nonprofits, our best predictors of success include fulfilling our mission and caring for our most valuable resources: our staff and volunteers. I want to make sure we are doing the best we can for our staff, our students, and the many parents and community members who donate their time and resources, while planning strategically for the future to meet our goals and dream about what could be!

I look forward to serving our community in this new and important way. I hope to learn more about your joys, concerns, and hopes for the Wimberley Independent School District in the coming weeks (and year once elected).

I would appreciate your vote for Wimberley ISD School Board Place 3 so I can help our Small District achieve Big Dreams!

Sincerely,

Vicki McCuistion

This is a competitive race and hope you will consider donating to support this campaign.
