"HELP ME HELP MY HOMETOWN"

As you all know, I am very concerned for my family and friends who live where Super Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in the Philippines. We have not heard from them yet and may not for days. From what we see in the news Tacloban is almost completely cut off from the rest of the world and has been extremely devastated. My family and friends live there and need help. At this time we don't know what's really happening with them. Our information so far comes from CNN, Philippine News and relatives in Manila. We are at the beginning of organizing a relief effort for the coming days, weeks, and months. Greg and I previously planned a trip to the Philippines on December 8. We would like to take this opportunity to help out where we can. In this case, we will try our best to raise funds. I am asking that you talk to everyone you know that my family and friends desperately need help. We will keep you all updated as soon as more information becomes available.
