Trey's PeopleToPeople European Adventure
My name is Trey Lunceford and I am about to go on an adventure that will change my life! I have been accepted into the People to People Student Ambassador Program and I will be representing Ft. Leonard Wood, Waynesville and St. Robert with the Springfield delegation. This summer, in June, I will be embarking on a 20-day educational opportunity that will take me to France, Italy, and Greece.
The curriculum will teach me about the history, culture, and people of the region I am visiting. After all, there is no better way to learn about culture than to experience it firsthand through home stays and school visits. I will be led by experienced teachers and engage in a wide variety of cultural encounters and adventures. I will get to experience artwork and architecture like Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, da Vinci's Mona Lisa, and the ancient Parthenon. I will also have classic experiences of floating in a Venetian gondola, strolling the streets of the Roman Forum, joining a Greek dance, and seeing Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower. These are all things I have only ever read about or seen on TV! Right in the middle of this educational adventure, I will get to volunteer my time with a local group to help the sea turtles...definitely something I cannot experience in the middle of Missouri! Needless to say, I am incredibly excited.
I would like to ask you to help me reach my goal for this trip but please do not feel obligated to do this. Below, I have set up six different reward levels as a small token of saying "Thank You" for your donation. If you would like more information on the program, please contact myself or my parents personally or visit http://www.peopletopeople.com/.
