Together for Puerto Rico

It's been 15 years since I moved from Puerto Rico, but the small island in the Caribbean is still home.  The song of the coqui remains the most soothing lullaby.   But the beautiful, lush and green place that I grew up in is no more.  The destruction and devastation that hurricane Maria has left behind is heartbreaking.  For those of us who are in the mainland, the pain is indescribable.  Seeing the suffering of our families who remain in the island, and of all of our people is difficult to put into words.  And so, I cannot sit idle.  Today, I stand with my people and say "you are not alone!" 

If you're reading this, I need you.  Together we can help.  We can help provide basic needs, we can help rebuild infrastructure, we can give back hope and rebuild lives.   To anyone that has ever enjoyed the softness of our sand, the warmth of our waters, the breeze from our palm trees, the song of our coqui, or the friendship of our people please give them your help today.  Your contribution, no matter how big or how small, will provide much needed assistance.  Join me and together let's help Puerto Rico rise again.  Will you stand with me?
