My Mission Trip to Nicaragua!

Hello family and friends,
As many of you know I am currently a 2nd year vet student attending the illustrious Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. I have been presented with an opportinuty to practice small animal surgery this upcoming summer through an organization called World Vets.
World Vets provides skilled teams of veterinarians and technicians that execute community wide spay neuter campaigns as well as health consultations for dogs and cats. Their goal is to control the local animal population as well as treat and prevent zoonotic diseases. World Vets teams also perform other surgeries or treat injuries on a case by case basis. They operate a fully functional mobile surgery setup and travel with the veterinary supplies needed to provide routine veterinary care.
My particular session will be operating out of the Latin American Veterinary Training Center in Granada, Nicaragua.
To participate in this wonderful experience I have to pay my own way. This experience will be vital to my learning experience and prepare me for upcoming surgical courses. My deadline is April 1, 2015 and my total will go towards my room and board, meals, airfare, and any other fees.
Any amount would be a great help to cover my expenses to get there. Thanks for your support.
