Please help us bring our little girl home
Our adoption journey began in November 2013. My husband’s family had come over for our annual Thanksgiving dinner and during causal conversation the concept of adoption was brought up. I was thinking it would probably pass quickly but everyone seemed really excited about it so even though we were pursuing IVF when we changed direction and started a new path towards adoption. After 1 full year of more paperwork then either one of us has ever seen in our lives, doctor visits, and notaries, we have finally been matched with a beautiful little girl from China. Her name is Jing Qiu Li and as soon as we saw her we knew she was our little girl. Our adoption journey feels almost complete. Our little girl’s story started in China when she was abandoned in a park on January 5th 2014. She is currently living with her foster family and is doing well but we want nothing more than to bring her home and give her a loving family.

Dossier is finally done!
Our adoption is like so many others, lengthy and expensive. Our costs for adoption from China are about $30,000. We have done everything we can think to do to raise/save the money on our own but coming up with $30,000 isn’t easy. Also, because we have a special needs child we have medical bills that will need to be paid to repair a cleft lip/cleft palate and possibly a heart condition. We want to repair the cleft lip/cleft palate so that she can eat and drink easier and help her learn to speak which she does not do at this time. We are asking that if you can help us please give what you can to bring two journeys together and help us bring our little Jing home where we can love on her and keep her safe and well.
The final stretch
We have been able to come up with and pay about $14,000 over the past year but we are still falling sort for the last half. The major pending expenses are the Chinese orphanage fee ($5700), travel expenses (~$4000-$6000) and several other documentation and adoption agency and post adoption fees. Our remaining expenses are about $15,000 to$20,000. All donations will be applied to adoption and medical expenses.
