Dear Friends of the Ostrander Family,
Many of you have asked what you can do to help out Neil, Joan and the family during Neil’s hospitalization, eventual rehabilitation, and recovery. One great need that has arisen is funding for several key issues:
1. The Ostrander home has been “diagnosed” with a mold issue that has affected bathrooms as well as their entire unfinished basement and laundry area. In order to restore functionality as well as ensure a safe environment for Neil to come home to, remedying this situation immediately is critical. Neil’s cousin, who is a contractor, has generously agreed to complete the demolition and reparation work at cost, and things are in the works to obtain flooring, paint and other supplies in that fashion as well.
2. Neil’s healthcare and recovery will be a long, long process – likely about six months. Although at the moment, insurance is covering costs, as things progress, there may unexpected medical and rehabilitation expenses, as well as potential income loss due to time off work.
In total, we are looking to raise about $15,000 to cover these major but necessary costs!
