Teaching English in Colombia
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
My name is Joshua Davis and I am a 2017 graduate of Georgetown University. I was just given a tremendous opportunity to spend the next two and a half months in Barranquilla, Colombia volunteering as an English teacher. I am required to leave June 26 to begin training and given the incredibly short notice, I am in need of help to finance the trip.
The program is a partnership between Volunteers Colombia and the Barranquilla Secretary of Education. The goal of the program is to provide students in local public schools an immersive English learning opportunity they may not otherwise have the occasion to experience. Though the program does provide a modest cost of living stipend, I am in need of some assistance with the costs of travel (~$700) and housing expenses.
While I am not one to ask for help, this is an opportunity I am truly excited about and would greatly appreciate your assistance in helping make this happen for me and the children I will encounter.
