Help Those in Need on Tangier

This year Toys for Tots is going to be taking care of the basic needs of all of the children on the island. As such, we are going to be working to raise money for two of the critical funds that the church runs on the island as well as support the school. Everyone here was exceedingly generous over the weekend in supporting the "Mission Fund" which is now going to be pay to make the Tangier veteran's home handicap accessible. Out goal is to also raise enough money to address the next two project on the mission fund list - roof repair for two elderly ladies.

The first lady is a widow. Her roof rotted away causing ceiling damage as well. $1200 in supplies is needed for this roof.

The second lady is also single. She has dedicated her life to working with campus youth. Part of her roof blew away. $600 in supplies is needed to repair her roof. labor for both project is being donated.

Any additional money that we raise will go into the "Health and Welfare Fund" which pays for heating oil and groceries for those in need. When this fund runs dry, people go cold and hungry. $2500 will cover this fund for the entire winter.
