I've never done this before, and I'm a little overwhelmed in having to do it, but my cat Phillip is really sick and it seems the only treatment is surgery.

For the last few weeks he's been dealing with what we thought were intestinal issues. After he started behaving super weird we brought him to the vet, which turned into the hospital, which turned to where we are right now.

Phillip has a mass under his brain stem that was caused by inner ear infections in both ears (and turned out to be the cause of his intestinal problems). The only real treatment is to go into the ears and remove the infection/inflammation. By doing that, it will remove the source of what's causing the mass...and essentially it will prevent the mass from growing so it will dissipate back into the brain. They're worried that without surgery and just treating with antibiotics that it will take too long for the inflammation to clear and the growth will get larger...and therefore terminal.

Phillip is only 5 and this is the only way he'll be able to still live a long life. I hate that I even had to make this page, and I wish I had the money, but I don't have the resources. They're estimating the surgery will cost around $5,000 so I'm trying to get to that as close as possible. I realize it's a lot to ask of people to contribute something, especially if they don't know Phillip, but I feel a bit desperate and I just want to give my cat his best chance. Anything is appreciated, and even just sharing this page means more than words can express.
