Hi, my name is Philip Healy and I am a 4th year medical student in University College Cork.
This summer, my classmates and I will be volunteering in hospitals for Surgeon Noonan, a UCC student run charity which raises money for under resourced hospitals in Zambia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Ghana . I will be volunteering in St Lukes Mission Hospital in Zambia, and would really appreciate your support.
Last year, Surgeon Noonan raised €148,000 for the nine hospitals that we go out to. This year, myself and the other forty two students are hoping to raise even more.
All of the money raised goes directly to the hospitals. Many of these hospitals receive little to no government funding and Surgeon Noonan provides money for their maintenance and development, and to fund projects which will help make the hospitals more sustainable.
We have devoted a lot of our free time to raising money for these hospitals, by means of hosting various events and bucket collecting on the street, and we are making one final push to raise as much as we can before we go.
Any support at all would go a really long way, and would be hugely appreciated. Thank you very much.
