Support 9-year-old Penioni's Funeral

On Monday December 18, 2023 the Drikibau family was left devastated with the sudden loss of 9 year-old Penioni.

Penioni suddenly was sick and had a difficult time breathing. He was taken by the ambulance to Vancouver Children’s Hospital. Soon after arriving at the hospital, he was pronounced deceased.

Penioni was a child with autism, but you’d never know it. He was a fast learner and knew all shapes, animals, colours, planets, alphabets and was a walking GPS.

He could go anywhere, just once and remember how to get there the next time. He was extremely affectionate and caring. He told everyone that he knew that he loved them and loved to hug.

He put a lot of smiles on many faces with his “Hi friend!”, “I love you!” and “Happy!”

Penioni will be extremely missed by so many. He leaves behind his Mother, Father, 5 siblings, a niece, nephews, aunty and Grandma.

The family is seeking support to help alleviate funeral costs.
