Strength for the Journey works to inspire hope and unlock the potential of impoverished children by providing a safe environment to learn, grow, belong and change their life’s course. 


What is Strength for the Journey?

Strength for the Journey works with impoverished children in the Dominican Republic, providing a safe, wholesome, and nurturing environment where they can escape the influences of drugs, prostitution, violence, insecurity, hardship, and hunger.
 

We give children a sense of protection, belonging, and belief in oneself to equip them to take positive steps to change their life path. 



Our after school and summer programs offer hands-on, enrichment learning that supplements what students learn during the regular school day, including

Karate


Art





A Childrens Library




Guitar Classes





And Outdoor Recreation
