Shea's Veteran Center
Tax deductible
Desert Hot Springs Community Task Force, a non-profit since 1997, opened Shea’s Veteran
Center, a live-in facility for Homeless Disabled Veterans, in Desert Hot Springs, California on
May 31, 2018. This facility provides access to educational and vocational programs, mental
health counseling, substance abuse services, and assistance with benefit applications, among
other services for its live-in Veterans. Many of the Veterans suffer from PTSD, mental health,
and physical challenges.
We need to continue to support our Disabled Veterans, start by making sure they have what they
need for a better quality of life. The Veterans who live here would have nowhere to go but back
on the streets. We cannot let that happen. The rent on the Center is going to increase
dramatically, and additional funds are needed immediately in order for us to continue providing
this much-needed home for our Disabled Veterans. We believe that with all that they have given
over the years to defend and protect our freedoms, it is our responsibility to give back to them by
paying it forward.
If you would like more information about our facility, please visit our website at dhsctf.org. If
you have any questions, please email them to [email redacted], or call [phone redacted]. We
thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any donation that you may be able to give to this
worthwhile cause.
