Sharmaine Burke- murdered in front of grandson

On 07/30/2025, our beloved Sharmaine Burke was tragically taken from us in an unimaginable act of violence — murdered by her son in law in front of her young grandson. What should have been a normal day turned into a nightmare that no child or family should ever endure. He lost his mother in January 2025.

Sharmaine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth, laughter, and kindness touched everyone she met. She was the heart of her family and a guiding light in her community. Her sudden and senseless loss has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew her.

This fundraiser has been created to help cover the unexpected costs of funeral arrangements, trauma support for her grandson and family, and any legal expenses that may arise as we seek justice.

No child should witness such violence, and no family should have to navigate such heartbreak alone. Any amount you can give — no matter how small — will help ease the financial burden and show this grieving family that they are not alone.
