Service Trip to Haiti

Later this summer, I have the amazing privilege to go on a mission trip to Les Cayes, Haiti through the organization HOPE Worldwide. It will be a two week trip from July 24th to August 7th and while on the trip we will be serving at Oasis Home for Kids, a refuge for local orphans. We will be building relationships with the kids - playing games with them, mentoring them, and showing them Christ's love. We will also be serving the community of Les Cayes in any ways that are needed.

Three years ago, I went on a similar trip to the Dominican Republic where we built a new house for a family living in the slums and played with the local children there. That trip had a profound impact on my life as I discovered the joy of serving those in need and how it truly is "more blessed to give than to receive" as Jesus said. I am very excited to be able to go on another trip abroad to serve the poor and under-resourced in a very real way and connect more with the heart of Jesus.
To get there though, I need your help to raise $1,500. $895 is what I need to pay for the actual trip where the organization will be providing food, lodging, travel, and other expenses during the trip. The remaining $605 is around what I need to purchase my plane ticket. Any amount you give will be greatly appreciated!
"For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you took care of Me; I was in prison and you visited Me. “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or without clothes and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and visit You? “And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me."
