Many of us were blessed to have Mama's kindness shown to us, night after night, when she worked as an industry professional at Chicago nightlife venues Le Passage, The Back Room, The Drawing Room, and Lumen. Mama will always be family to us, and now she needs our help.
Mama is in jeopardy of losing her home by February, unless she can reduce her mortgage. She's been actively searching for extra work throughout the summer, as her social security income does not cover her current house payments. Since Sly's passing, she's been surviving on only her own social security income.
Mama's heart and soul is in her South Holland home. Since 1989, she and Sly raised their children there on the south side of Chicago.
Mama's health is good, her spirits are high (as always), and she is able to maintain her property. Her goal is to be able to live within her social security income, and reducing her mortgage payments will help tremendously.
