Help Save High Altitude Organics

This is the true description of "All or Nothing"! Pass this on to save our farm and our life. I am so proud of how hard we have worked and what we haveaccomplished here. Our 12.5 acre farm lies in South East Weld County in the High Plains near the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Our elevation is 4958.We are deeply committed to growing healthy, delicious food at affordable prices. We firmly believe that organic food should be accessible to everyone. We believe in being responsible stewards of our land and the people and animals that work and live on our farm.

The main crops we grow are meat products such as pork, whole and cut chickens, whole and cut turkey,  beef sides and cuts and lamb and goat cuts. Our animals are fed a non-soy, non-corn diet that includes small grains, alfalfa, whey, milk, spent distiller's and brewery grains. Our beef, lamb and goat is entirely grass-fed and grass-finished and they are on pasture 24/7 from day one (except where weather prohibits). We also sell free-range chicken and duck eggs when available. And all of our proteins are non-soy, non-corn and non-GMO! Great Tasting Protein -- Humanely-Raised is our #1 goal!

In 2013 we thought that taking out a loan from the Farm Service Agency (A division  of the USDA)  would be a great idea. Little did I know that it would be the worst mistake I ever made. I made a plan that I knew I could do and be able to repay. The FSA made me cut back on the plan because they said I didn't have enough market and my expenses faexcedded my sales volume as I predicted. The guy I was working with would not accept any plan from me for repayment because he could not understand Organic meat production or our local consumer market for our products. They called my loan immediately due and I can't do that without selling my farm or letting them repossess everything I own, the farm, all my equipment including vehicles and my animals. I cannot see them taking the animals to be raised conventionally including the new baby piggies. We are heartsick. Please help keep the Federal Government off our farm and out of the way we produce your food. Succeeding at his campaign will allow us to pay off our loan, fulfill rewards and expand our farm volume.
