Save Mooni the Dachshund Puppy

Last night, 6/25/15, My chocolate and tan dapple dachshund was brutally attacked by a large chow mixed breed dog. I heard a Loud scream and came outside to see the large chow mix with my baby dachshund in his mouth. My mother and I did all we could to get the large dog to let go and nothing was working. Finally, we used our hands to force the large dog's mouth open which resulted in the dog biting my mother!!!! When my dachshund Mooni fell to the floor he wasnt moving and had blood pouring from his neck! I immediately rushed him to the nearest 24 hour vet (being that it was now 8 at night) and got care for my dachshund puppy. 
The doctor immediately diagnosed the puppy with "Shock, Trauma, Broken Ribes, a Collapsed Lung, and a Thoracic Hernia" as well as multiple puncture wounds. 
His first surgery was to fix his lung.
Next, he is going under to clean all the puncture wounds and then they are going to open his neck to see how bad the thoracic hernia is.
