Help Sarah Escape Forced Abortion
Thousands rally behind modern day “Mother Teresa”
Sarah Huang has personally rescued more than 80 children before they were abandoned, trafficked or killed. Now, thousands of people are rallying behind her and helping her to save her own child!
“This is the most difficult thing I have ever done, but any mother would do what I am doing for my child.”, says Sarah.
Since, 2013 international media attention has been drawn to Sarah, a humble pastor in China who has been nicknamed the “Mother Teresa of China”, as she courageously helps women who need to hide their pregnancies, and escape coercive and forced abortions from the Chinese family planning officials who are demanding that they abort. (Under China’s One Child Policy and recent Two Child Policy)
Her situation: Earlier this year, Sarah rejoiced when she discovered that she was pregnant with their second child. (She and her husband had been trying to get pregnant for years and she worried that she was too old.) However, the excitement quickly vanished when they were told by the Chinese government (and her husbands employers) that she must abort the child. Instead of setting up the nursery and having a baby shower, she was forced into hiding. She chose to risk losing everything to protect her child.
Update #1 - Sarah has been hiding her pregnancy and staying at a safe house in China. However, that situation recently became too dangerous. (Police came to the house with dogs looking for her.)
Update #2 - This past week, Sarah, her husband and son made a daring escape to America where she is now living for 6 months until her baby is born here safely. Afterwards, they will return to China to pay the consequences.
She is confident that her newborn baby’s life will not be in danger after she returns. However, her husband will probably lose his job, they may face a fine of up to $36,000 USD and possible arrest. Sarah says “ Life is too precious. This trouble is small price to pay to protect our child. No one should be told that their body and baby do not belong to them!”
This is a very difficult time for her and her family. They are safe in the US now (For 6 months) but they cannot afford monthly living expenses ($1,000 per month) or the birth expenses $6,000. ($12,000 total)
