Kenya Volunteer Trip
Donation protected
This July I will be heading to Kenya for volunteer trip to
help out in an orphanage in Nairobi. I
will be working with an organization called International Volunteer HQ (http://www.volunteerhq.org/). The number of children in each orphanage can
range from 50 to 300 due to a high rate of poverty and illness, so they are
always in need of more volunteer assistance. I will be helping with daily
activities including cooking, cleaning, washing, caring, feeding, playing and
entertaining.
Why Kenya? Well, currently UNICEF reports that almost half of the population lives on less than $1.25 per day -- 43%. Many of those in need are children, as of 2011 there were approximately 2,600,000 orphans in Kenya and about 1,100,000 of them were orphaned because of HIV.

It is a passion of mine to help others and the children in Kenya's orphanages are in need of love, care and extra hands. Please help support me in this undertaking, by making a small donation. With your assistance, I hope help as many children as possible and make this world a greater place. Thank you so much!!
Follow along with my trip on my blog.
