A Ronald McDonald Christmas

Donation protected
The Ronald McDonald house of San Francisco is a very precious place to our family.  In 2006 we were blessed with a little girl name Olivia Jane.  Olivia was born with a rare syndrome that made it medically necessary for her to live in the UCSF children's hospital for most of her life.  If it wasn't for the Ronald McDonald house in San Francisco our Olivia and her family would have had to live apart for most of her days here on this earth.

As the Ronald McDonald website (rmhc.org) explains it "Our Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. We believe that when a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed."

This Christmas our family wants to give back and be a blessing to the families who are currently staying at the Ronald McDonald house in San Francisco.  We want to spend Christmas there, share Christmas dinner with them & somehow communicate that they are not forgotten or overlooked this Christmas season.

Our ultimate hope in going and spending time with these families is to share with them what the angel shared with shepherds so long ago, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Only Jesus can bring hope & healing to these families during their difficult journey; He alone is their greatest need. Please pray for us! Pray that we would have the boldness to share the true meaning of Christmas!

How can you help us?  I'm so glad you asked!  We would like to raise funds to buy gift cards for the families who are at the R McD house.  Although their housing is provided they still have general living expenses like gasoline and groceries (not to mention Christmas gifts) to think of.  There are 10 rooms that house 10 families at the San Francisco location, and our goal is to give each family $200 in gift cards to bless them this Christmas.

Thank you in advance for your love & support!

**All monies we raise through our GoFundMe account will go directly to the families living at the Ronald McDonald house.  Our own families travel & accomodation expenses will be covered separately from the monies we raise here.
