Dreams? Well a wise friend has always advised me, that instead of keeping them a secret, “put them out into the universe”.

So here we go….It has always been a lifelong dream of ours to welcome a child into our family. My name is Rogelio and this is my fiancé Moises. When we first met 12 years ago, we knew right away that we were meant for each other. Not only were we raised in similar loving homes, but we were also very much in love with the idea that we both really wanted children in our future. Even though we were both young, we knew that when the time felt right we would try everything in our power to make this dream come true.

We have had a lot of experience with children as I have been blessed with several beautiful nieces and nephews. We try to visit them as frequently as we can and continue at home with our own reading club that we do over the phone. We look forward to our summers as several of them come and spend extended time with us when they are out of school. These continue to be our priceless memories. I have never mentioned it to Moises but I have been choked up in the past when waking up and just watching him interact with my nieces and nephews in the kitchen. We could not imagine what we would do without them, therefore we feel truly blessed to have their full support in this endeavor.

At the moment, I’m attending a School Psychology master’s program while working a full-time job, and Moises is working diligently as a School Counselor and server, on top of other after school jobs, to provide for the home. While we are saving to try and cover most of the cost for this expensive procedure, it is daunting to see how much we have to come up with in order to stay afloat and make sure that this child has the best living situation when he/she is born. This is why we are asking for your help.

As our relationship blossomed to what it is now, being in a wonderful companionship of never-ending love and appreciation for each other, we have decided to put aside our pride and shame and ask for your help in this life changing experience that is not so easily attainable due to the fact that we cannot produce a child of our own.

The unfortunate reality is that surrogacy is very expensive. We have been doing our homework and we are looking at a potential cost of $110,000 - $140,000. We have worked hard saving for this journey, however it would be hard for most individuals to come up with such an exorbitant amount. If it is possible, please be our Padrino/Madrina (Godparent) in this adventure by donating if you can. Any amount is a blessing and we will be forever grateful for your generosity.

Anybody that knows us can tell you how much we love children and how achieving this dream of ours would mean the world to us. We are aware that it truly takes a village to raise a child, therefore we also ask that if you have any positive advice, know of someone who has gone through the process, know of a surrogate lawyer that can help us, or can provide us with assistance towards achieving this goal of ours, we would really appreciate it.

Last but not least, we ask that you please help us by sharing our story on your social media accounts, that way it can reach other people who could find it in their heart to help us. Thank you for your time and consideration.

With lots of love,

Rogelio & Moises
