Our dear friends, Vicents and Maria Reyes and children Vicente Jr (age 13), Christian (age 10) and Adrian (age 8) have lost their home and business in the fire in Santa Rosa. They are currently staying with us as they have lost everything. Miles, my son, played on Adrian's soccer team for last year for Santa Rosa United soccer club. They are amazing people and dear friends.
Vicente Sr. ran a painting business, with 11 employees and Maria a housecleaning business in Santa Rosa. We are raising funds to help them 1) with immediate housing until they can rebuild, 2) for clothing and other necessities until they can get their businesses up and running again. They've lost all belongings; including business supplies (truck, ladders, sprayers etc).
We did find a home in Mill Valley that they can rent and are working on getting kids in schools here. However, as you know rent is high here. The home is $4k per month and is currently unfurnished. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. We are documenting everything and hoping that insurance will be able to cover some of the cost.
Other friends offering homes in Healdsburg and uncertain of schooling situation at this time. If ever there was a time to help people affected by this tragedy, the time is now.
